Wolfsberger AC-Coach Peter Pacult has spoken about his time at the club and admitted mistakes. The former Rapid coach explained why things didn't go as planned under his leadership. Pacult took over the Wolfsberger AC after Didi Kühbauer's short-term departure to LASK and led the Kärntners to second place in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga. However, under his leadership, things didn't go as planned. Pacult explained that he made the mistake of not being himself. 'I was not myself at WAC,' he said. 'And that's something I still regret today.' Pacult also highlighted a conversation with President Dietmar Riegler, where he quickly realized: 'Hoppala, do what your strength is.' After a week, Pacult no longer recognized himself: 'Peter, you are not Peter.' Pacult also criticized his 'Stone Age training'. Instead of modern analytical approaches, Pacult would have preferred to stick to his tried-and-tested methods. The WAC was the one station where Pacult still regrets not working as he did in the years before.
